Dear reader,

this is part 2 of my interview with my grandmother Lina. Her take on the floods and what happened afterwards. Lina witnessed both floods, that of 1966 and the latest severe episode in NOvember 2019.

In this post, we are answering the questions we received by hotel guests and readers of our website. Many people still think that Venice is reeling from the damage, is still flooded. And they want to see what Venice looks like now. So just for a start, take a look at our image above.

Iris: Many readers are very preoccupied and have asked how seriously was Venice hit. What is your impression?

Lina: xx

Iris: Some potential visitors also aksed whether it is safe visiting the city, and what's still not working in Venice, now, one month after the floods?

Lina: xx

Iris: What does Venice look like now, after the flooding?

Lina: ss

Iris: How do we deal with floodings - how does the cleanup happen, and how long does it usually take?

Lina: xx

Iris: Are restaurants or hotels closed?

Lina: xx

Iris: How long do you expect the city needs to get back onto her feet?

Lina: Actually, Venice IS back on her feet. Walking past the houses, Venice looks like always - take a look at the images in this post.

Iris: How do you see the future of tourism here in Venice?

Lina: xx
